Daniel is a Doctor in Mechanical Engineering whose research interests include, but are not limited to, wearable robotics, biomechanics, and structural mechanics and dynamics. The proposal of a new, biomechanics-informed design based on synergies for gait-assistance exosuits was the cornerstone of his PhD dissertation and a defining point for his research career. He would thereafter focus on applying academic and engineering knowledge to directly improve the living conditions of individuals in society thanks to more accessible wearable robots for real-world applications. In addition to research and knowledge transfer in all its forms, Daniel is an avid History fanatic and full-time nerd, loves painting miniatures, playing videogames, and traveling around the globe. He often pretends he likes sports too.
